NY Fracking Study Team Biased Against Drilling, Group Says

Law360, New York (November 19, 2012, 2:20 PM EST) -- An industry group on Monday questioned the objectivity of three experts picked by New York to study the health impacts of shale gas drilling, showing passions about the issue haven't cooled despite Gov. Andrew Cuomo's recent move to delay an expansion of fracking in the Empire State.

The Washington, DC-based Energy in Depth made the comments in a letter to New York Health Commissioner Nirav Shah, who was tapped by Cuomo during October to study the controversial method of natural gas drilling through the lens of public health.
