Sanyo Loses Bid To Escape LCD Price-Fixing MDL

Law360, New York (November 19, 2012, 7:02 PM EST) -- A California federal judge on Monday refused to toss federal antitrust claims from multidistrict litigation against Sanyo Consumer Electronics, ruling that enough evidence exists to prove Sanyo conspired with other electronics makers to fix liquid crystal display prices.

In its motion for summary judgment, attorneys for Sanyo argued that Target Corp. and other plaintiffs lacked evidence to prove their claims that it engaged in a price-fixing conspiracy.
