J&J Wants Out Of Ex-Sales Reps' Suit Over Noncompete Deal

Law360, Washington (November 20, 2012, 4:02 PM EST) -- Johnson & Johnson urged a Florida federal court on Monday to toss an employment agreement suit brought on by several former sales representatives of its cardiac device unit Biosense Webster Inc., saying it can't be held liable for the alleged contract restrictions.

Three former Biosense sales representatives allege the devicemaker is improperly restricting them from selling devices for new employer St. Jude Medical Inc. by preventing them from selling noncompeting products in their old sales territories and competing products outside their old sales territories.
