Germany, France Reportedly Agree To Each Own 12% Of EADS

Law360, New York (November 20, 2012, 4:01 PM EST) -- The governments of Germany and France have agreed to a revised ownership structure for aerospace giant EADS NV that calls for each country to hold a 12 percent stake in the company going forward, a German newspaper reported Tuesday.

Currently, France holds 15 percent of EADS directly and an additional 7.5 percent indirectly through Paris-based media company Lagardere SCA. That is counterbalanced on the German side by automaker Daimler AG, which controls a 22.5 percent voting stake in EADS.
