Ex-News Corp. Editors Charged With Bribery In Hacking Probe

Law360, New York (November 20, 2012, 5:38 PM EST) -- Onetime News International CEO Rebekah Brooks and former editor Andy Coulson were charged with conspiring to pay public officials for information, the latest move amid vast phone-hacking allegations against Rupert Murdoch's News Corp., British prosecutors said Tuesday.

In all, four journalists and one public official face charges in the bribes-for-information conspiracy, according to a statement from Alison Levitt, a legal advisor to Britain's Crown Protective Services.
