Apple Resolves ITC Dispute Over IPhone, IPad Imports

Law360, New York (November 20, 2012, 6:41 PM EST) -- Apple Inc. on Monday reached a settlement with VIA Technologies Inc. and S3 Graphics Co. Ltd. in two U.S. International Trade Commission investigations alleging Apple imports iPhones, iPads and other products that infringe their microprocessor and graphics patents.

The terms of Apple's settlement with VIA and its U.S. subsidiaries IP-First LLC and Centaur Technology Inc. as well as its settlement with S3 are confidential, but the parties in both cases said that once the settlements become effective, they will terminate the ITC investigations within five business...
