Ohio Seeks Bids To Design, Build, Finance $330M Bridge

Law360, New York (November 21, 2012, 4:28 PM EST) -- Ohio transportation officials on Tuesday began the search for bidders to design, construct and finance the $330 million replacement of the aging bridge that carries Interstate 90 into Cleveland, the state’s first infrastructure project to shift financing risks to the private sector.

The request for qualifications, posted on the Ohio Department of Transportation’s website, seeks construction firms to build a five-lane eastbound bridge over the Cuyahoga River, one of two spans that will replace a single, eight-lane bridge built in the 1950s.
