FERC Says Customers Shouldn't Pay For Disconnecting Plants

Law360, New York (November 21, 2012, 6:51 PM EST) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Tuesday shot down PacifiCorp’s attempt to gain permission to hold transmission system customers responsible for all costs related to the disconnection of power plants, calling the proposal too broad.

The utility, which serves customers in Oregon, Washington and California, in June filed a proposed revision to its Standard Large Generator Interconnection Agreement under its Open Access Transmission Tariff.
