Post-Dissolution Fees Go To Partnership: Pa. Appeals Court

Law360, Philadelphia (November 27, 2012, 3:27 PM EST) -- The Pennsylvania Superior Court ruled Monday that contingency fees earned after the dissolution of a legal partnership belong to the partnership, finding that a trial court had acted correctly in ordering a new trial for two attorneys feuding about the distribution of these fees.

Robert Huber and Michael Etkin, former partners in Etkin & Huber LLP and Yankowitz Etkin & Huber LLP, are at odds over $400,000 in fees from cases that began during the partnership and ended after its dissolution.
