Sandy Recovery Spurs Insurance Questions, Complaints In NJ

Law360, New York (November 27, 2012, 6:09 PM EST) -- New Jersey’s insurance regulator has received a flood of questions and concerns from nearly 800 consumers recovering from Hurricane Sandy, including requests for help and complaints over the claims process with insurers, the regulator said Tuesday.

The number has eclipsed the 570 inquiries and complaints that the state Department of Banking and Insurance received following Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee last year, according to Marshall McKnight, a spokesman for the department.
