'Angry Birds' Co. Gets Sales Ban On Alleged Toy Knockoffs

Law360, New York (November 28, 2012, 1:11 PM EST) -- A California federal judge on Tuesday blocked an alleged counterfeiter from selling stuffed toys that likely infringe copyrights and trademarks Rovio Entertainment Ltd. holds in connection with its popular "Angry Birds" video game and related products.

U.S. District Judge Saundra Brown Armstrong granted Rovio's request for an injunction that blocks Livermore, Calif.-based Royal Plush Toys Inc., its president Jong K. Park and related entities from selling alleged knockoffs of plush stuffed "Angry Birds" toys.
