New UK Antitrust Chief Vows Efficiency In Agency Merger

Law360, New York (November 29, 2012, 4:35 PM EST) -- The incoming chief of the U.K.'s new consolidated competition watchdog vowed Wednesday to use the agency's resources more effectively to speed merger reviews and boost criminal cartel enforcement and said preparations were on track for the regulator to take over in 2014.
