Washer-Mold Class Asks Justices To Deny Whirlpool Cert. Bid

Law360, New York (November 30, 2012, 7:43 PM EST) -- Consumers who allege their Whirlpool Corp. washing machines accumulate pungent mold asked the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday to deny Whirlpool's bid to challenge class certification, saying standing is warranted for purchasers of defective machines even if they didn’t experience the mold issue.
