DOJ Prosecutors Stand By Nacchio Conviction

Law360, New York (November 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice defended its insider-trading criminal case against the former chief of Qwest Communications International Inc., asking an appellate court to uphold a district court jury's April conviction of Joseph Nacchio.

Lawyers for the federal government filed a brief Friday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit outlining and standing by its case and the jury's findings in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
