Ex-Gibson Dunn Partner Joins CPSC As General Counsel

Law360, New York (December 4, 2012, 7:19 PM EST) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Monday it has hired Stephanie Tsacoumis, formerly of Georgetown University and Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, as its new general counsel.

In her new role, Tsacoumis will provide advice and counsel to the agency's chairman and commissioners, coordinating petitions and rulemaking, pursuing civil penalties and administrative lawsuits, and enforcing federal safety standards. Tsacoumis will assume her post at CPSC on Dec. 10.
