Importers Didn't Breach Kaneka's Enzyme Patent, ITC Finds

Law360, New York (December 4, 2012, 7:40 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission issued a final ruling Thursday that Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co. Inc. and several other importers hadn't infringed Kaneka Corp.'s patented method for making dietary supplement coenzyme Q10.

The commission let stand Administrative Law Judge Robert K. Rogers's initial determination from September that Mitsbushi and three others hadn't violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act by shipping the supplement to the U.S.
