Jones Day Goes After Ex-Client Vizio For $6.7M In Fees

Law360, New York (December 4, 2012, 10:29 PM EST) -- Jones Day took legal action Monday against a former client it says walked out on a more than $6.7 million tab, launching a suit against Vizio Inc. that claims the HDTV maker stiffed the firm for intellectual property representation in a fit of pique.

Filed in Washington federal court, the complaint alleges Vizio breached its contract with the Cleveland-based firm because of its displeasure at having to pay some $4 million to resolve an otherwise successful patent-infringement suit brought before the International Trade Commission.
