News Corp. Report Could Forge Tougher UK Data Watchdog

Law360, New York (December 5, 2012, 9:45 PM EST) -- The U.K.'s data protection regulator said Tuesday that it would reassess the ways that it enforces privacy laws in light of a recent report deconstructing the News Corp. hacking scandal, leading some experts to worry the relatively tame regulator is now poised to grab greater power to crack down on data collectors.
