CPSC Sues Maker Of Baby Recliner Following Deaths

Law360, Philadelphia (December 5, 2012, 4:06 PM EST) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Wednesday filed suit against Baby Matters LLC, the manufacturer of a portable baby recliner linked to five deaths, contending the product continues to pose significant dangers to users.

The commission announced it had opted to issue the suit over the Nap Nanny following a 3-0 vote. The commission seeks an order obligating the firm to notify its consumers of the defect and provide them with a full refund.
