EPA Cites Dow For Clean Air Violations

Law360, New York (November 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has warned Dow Chemical Co. that it appears to have committed violations that could expose the public to hazardous air pollution, taking aim once again at a large chemical plant that was targeted earlier this year.

The EPA sent Dow a notice of violation on Friday, alerting the company that preliminary reviews had identified several Clean Air Act infractions at its 1,900-acre Midland, Mich. chemical manufacturing plant and asked for more information about the plant.
