AIG Eyes Sale Of Jet Leasing Biz

Law360, New York (December 7, 2012, 9:09 PM EST) -- American International Group Inc. is in talks to sell a huge stake in its aircraft leasing business to a mix of Chinese companies and private equity investors, part of AIG's ongoing effort to pay back its 2008 U.S. government bailout, the insurer announced Friday.

The transaction could see AIG shed 90 percent of its ownership stake in the Los Angeles-headquartered International Lease Finance Corp. to five entities based in either China or Hong Kong, the would-be seller said in a statement.
