TransCanada Must Halt Keystone Work On Texan's Land

Law360, Houston (December 11, 2012, 10:04 PM EST) -- A Texas judge on Friday ordered TransCanada to cease construction of a segment of its Keystone XL Pipeline that crosses the property of a landowner who claims the oil and gas giant cannot legally transport Canadian oil sands through the line.

Nacogdoches County Court at Law Judge Jack Sinz issued a temporary restraining order preventing TransCanada from moving forward with construction on a portion of the pipeline that traverses the east Texas property of Michael Bishop until a scheduled Dec. 19 hearing.
