Cameroon, Sundance Sign Pact For $10B Mbalam Project

Law360, New York (December 11, 2012, 5:45 PM ET) -- The government of Cameroon has inked a covenant with Sundance Resources Ltd. that brings the Australian mining company one step closer to launching the $10 billion Mbalam Iron Ore Project, Cameroon's attorneys announced Monday.

The covenant sets out the legal and financial terms for developing Mbalam, a sweeping project that straddles Cameroon's southern border with the Republic of the Congo, according to a statement from Patton Boggs LLP's Washington, D.C., office. Patton Boggs is representing Cameroon on the deal.
