NJ Lawyer Admits To Embezzling From Firm, Clients

Law360, New York (December 13, 2012, 6:38 PM EST) -- A former partner at a New Jersey law firm has admitted to defrauding the firm and its clients of more than $885,000, including embezzling from real estate transactions, the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey announced Wednesday.

Neither court documents nor Fishman’s office disclosed the name of the defrauded law firm. But an online search of public records lists defendant Timothy J. Provost’s most recent firm as Provost & Colrick in Freehold, N.J., where he was a partner. Provost pled guilty to embezzling money...
