Apple Says USPTO's Tentative Patent Rejection Not Important

Law360, New York (December 13, 2012, 2:17 PM EST) -- Apple Inc. criticized Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. on Tuesday for notifying the U.S. International Trade Commission that one of Apple's patents had been tentatively rejected after a re-examination at the patent office, saying it had “little or no relevance” to their case.

Samsung is trying to get the full ITC to review an October determination that the company imported smartphones and tablets that infringed four Apple utility and design patents. If the ruling is confirmed, Apple could win a partial import ban on Samsung's products....
