General Counsel Base Pay Grows In 2012 As Bonuses Shrink

Law360, New York (December 14, 2012, 9:33 PM EST) -- General counsel for major corporations earned slightly less in 2012 because of declining cash bonuses that couldn't be offset by rising base salaries, according to a national law department compensation survey announced Friday by the Association of Corporate Counsel.

ACC, which partnered with compensation survey and consulting firm Empsight International LLC, surveyed lawyers working for large, mid-market and small companies to scope 2012's trends in total cash compensation for in-house counsel.
