ITC Won't Nix Flash Memory Probe Against Dell, HP, Others

Law360, New York (December 14, 2012, 7:25 PM EST) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission judge on Thursday refused to dismiss Canon Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co., Dell Inc. and others from an investigation alleging they imported printers, laptops and card readers that infringed patented flash memory technology.

ITC Administrative Law Judge Theodore R. Essex rejected a motion for summary determination — filed by Canon, HP, Acer Inc., Dell Inc. and Seiko Epson Corp. and several others — that claimed complainant Technology Properties Ltd. LLC had failed to establish a domestic market.
