Insurers Blast IAIS' Too-Big-To-Fail Policy Proposal

Law360, New York (December 14, 2012, 9:05 PM EST) -- A U.S. insurance industry group on Thursday criticized a proposal that the International Association of Insurance Supervisors put forward for regulating global systemically important insurers, and asked for a declaration that the measures wouldn't apply to an overwhelming majority of insurers.

The remarks come just months after the international group of insurance regulators proposed a framework for policy measures aimed at global systemically important insurers, or G-SIIs.
