DC Circ. Rebuffs NLRB, Says Calif. Paper's Firings Protected

Law360, New York (December 18, 2012, 8:39 PM EST) -- Santa Barbara News-Press publisher Ampersand LLC was protected by the First Amendment when it fired eight journalists during a battle over editorial control at the paper, the D.C. Circuit said Tuesday, vacating a National Labor Relations Board decision ordering the workers to be reinstated.
