NLRB Slams Facebook Firings, Applying Old Laws To New Tech

Law360, New York (December 20, 2012, 8:49 PM EST) -- A National Labor Relations Board decision released Wednesday ordering a nonprofit to reinstate five workers fired over comments they posted on Facebook cements the board's position that social media represents a virtual watercooler where workers' speech may be entitled to protection under long-standing labor law precedents, attorneys say.
