Finjan Anti-Virus Patents Found Invalid In Symantec IP Row

Law360, New York (December 20, 2012, 9:39 PM EST) -- A Delaware federal jury ruled Thursday that security software maker Symantec Corp. did not infringe two Finjan Inc. patents for protecting computers from hostile downloads, according to Symantec.

In addition to its finding of noninfringement, the jury determined that the two patents-in-suit, U.S. Patent Numbers 6,092,194 and 6,480,962, are invalid, according to Symantec spokesman Cris Paden.
