Jury Hands Microsoft A Win In CAC Suit

Law360, New York (November 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Texas jury delivered a victory for Microsoft Corp. on Thursday, ruling that the software giant did not infringe on patent-holding company Computer Acceleration Corp.'s patents over technology that speeds up load times for computer programs.

The jury came to its verdict after a seven-day trial in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. It decided that CAC's patent was invalid.
