SEC Enforcement Chief Khuzami To Step Down

Law360, New York (December 21, 2012, 11:59 AM EST) -- U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Director of Enforcement Robert Khuzami will leave the agency as early as next month after a four-year term in which the SEC launched a broad crackdown on financial fraud and collected billions in fines, according to news reports Thursday.

Khuzami plans to leave “as soon as next month,” the Wall Street Journal reported, citing a person familiar with the move.

SEC spokeswoman Florence Harmon declined to comment Friday.
