Pinterest Backer Lifted Site Idea, Columbia Law Grad Says

Law360, New York (January 2, 2013, 2:01 PM EST) -- Pinterest Inc. last week was hit in New York federal court with allegations that one of its early investors stole the idea for the popular social sharing site from a former Columbia Law School student.

In a complaint filed Dec. 27, Columbia Law graduate Theodore F. Schroeder claims he and two former law school classmates partnered with investor Brian Cohen to develop a project that included concepts that allegedly “found their way to Pinterest” after the business relationship between Schroeder and Cohen broke down.
