NJ To Propose Gender-Equality Notice Rules For Employers

Law360, New York (January 3, 2013, 3:56 PM EST) -- The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development on Monday will formally propose new notification language that employers in the state must post and distribute under a recently adopted law intended to battle gender inequity or bias in the workplace.

The proposed "form of notification" will be published that day in the New Jersey Register and will be open for public comment. Employers with 50 employers or more would have to begin meeting the new anti-discrimination notice requirements, which Gov. Chris Christie signed in September,...
