Law Firm Bookkeeper Who Stole $500K Gets Prison Time

Law360, New York (January 4, 2013, 6:09 PM ET) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Friday sentenced a former bookkeeper of an Ocean County, N.J., law firm to 21 months in prison after she filed a plea agreement to settle allegations she stole more than $500,000 from her former employer.

Sharon Wetter of Forked River, N.J., must also pay $521,596 in restitution and is subject to three years of supervised release with special conditions for pleading guilty in May to a federal information charging her with one count of mail fraud, U.S. Attorney Paul J....
