Health Care Reforms Need More Flexibility, Biz Group Says

Law360, New York (January 4, 2013, 3:57 PM EST) -- America’s Health Insurance Plans on Thursday urged the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to make several changes to upcoming Affordable Care Act health insurance reforms, saying more flexibility is needed to make the reforms successful.

In a letter it sent to HHS, the trade association said that while it agreed with the implementation and substance of many of the reforms, they won't work without changes to encourage wide participation in insurance plans and enable the creation of balanced risk pools for insurers. The letter...
