Supreme Court Lets Esso's $70M Hot Fuel Penalty Stand

Law360, New York (January 7, 2013, 5:32 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday denied Esso Standard Oil Co.'s petition to overturn a Puerto Rican court's $70 million penalty for its alleged failure to comply with a law requiring gasoline wholesalers to pass on to consumers discounts for product lost to temperature changes.
