KKR To Invest Another $40M In Chinese Wastewater Processor

Law360, New York (January 8, 2013, 1:43 PM EST) -- Private equity titan KKR & Co. LP will pour another $40 million into Chinese water treatment provider United Envirotech Ltd., building on an initial investment made in fall 2011 aimed at growing the company's presence in the Chinese water industry, KKR said Tuesday.

KKR will make its latest investment through a stock purchase, paying 0.50 Singapore dollars (US$0.41) per share — an 8.5 percent premium to UEL's average close over the past 30 trading days. The firm did not say how it would cover its purchase....
