Dow Jones Had Right To Alter WSJ Content, 2nd Circ. Told

Law360, New York (January 09, 2013, 7:58 PM ET) -- Dow Jones & Co. urged the Second Circuit Wednesday to kill a class action that claims it acted unreasonably by cutting off Wall Street Journal subscribers' access to certain web content, saying it was within its rights to change its service.

The Wall Street Journal's subscriber agreement allowed Dow Jones to make changes to content it provided, a lawyer for the news company told a panel of judges. The suit, dismissed by a lower court, should not be revived, the company contends.
