Crate & Barrel Agrees To Settlement In ZIP Code Row

Law360, New York (January 09, 2013, 7:04 PM ET) -- Crate & Barrel agreed Wednesday to a settlement that could be in the range of roughly $3 million to resolve class action claims accusing the home decoration retailer of violating California law by asking customers to provide their ZIP codes when they paid with their credit cards.

In a settlement memorandum filed Wednesday, the plaintiffs said Crate & Barrel agreed to the settlement, which could provide some $500,000 in merchandise credits to a group of nearly 100,000 class members, roughly over $2 million in such credits...
