Conservation Group Challenges $26B Duke-Progress Merger

Law360, New York (January 9, 2013, 10:10 PM EST) -- A North Carolina watchdog group Wednesday accused the North Carolina Utilities Commission of allowing power giant Duke Energy Corp. to walk all over ratepayers when the commission signed off in June on Duke's $26 billion merger with Progress Energy Inc.
