Uponor Dodges 3rd-Party Claims In Defective Plumbing Suit

Law360, New York (January 15, 2013, 3:04 PM EST) -- A Nevada federal judge on Monday threw out a third-party suit accusing Uponor Inc. of manufacturing defective plumbing parts, ruling that a Nevada homeowners association's claims duplicate those in other pending class actions the group is pursuing simultaneously.

U.S. District Judge Robert E. Jones found that the Anthem Highlands Community Association committed impermissible claim-splitting and said Uponor should not be required to defend identical class actions that are brought by the same counsel.
