Law360, New York (September 20, 2005, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal jury has ruled on a contentious semiconductor patent case, finding defendant IXYS Corporation infringed only one out of three patents in the suit and clearing it of willfulness charges. The case had been remanded from the Federal Circuit in 2004.
International Rectifier (IR) filed the suit in June 2000 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, alleging certain IXYS products infringed three patents for its high-power semiconductor switching devices.
