Internet Procurement Suit Against IBM Entangles Third Party

Law360, New York (September 20, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former dot-com darling has sued a rival over business method patents for internet procurement in a dispute involving a technology partnership with IBM.

Internet procurement specialist Ariba Inc. sued Sky Technologies LLC in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts in Boston, seeking declaratory judgment of non-infringement of Sky’s patents for international internet procurement.
