S. Korean Investors Nab Weatherford's Houston HQ

Law360, Houston (January 15, 2013, 5:33 PM EST) -- A Principal Financial Group unit has closed on a 335,000-square-foot Houston office building that serves as the headquarters of oil and gas services company Weatherford International Ltd. on behalf of South Korean investors led by CORE Real Estate, the company said Tuesday.

Principal Real Estate Investors acquired 2000 St. James Place for new owners Korean Federation of Community Credit Cooperatives, Korea Scientists and Engineers Mutual-Aid Association, and Simone Investment. Additional details about the purchase were not released.
