Kraft Says Kellogg Stole Patented Cookie Container

Law360, New York (January 16, 2013, 2:18 PM EST) -- Kraft Foods Global Brands LLC claims snack food rival Kellogg North America Co. stole the company's patented design for resealable cookie packaging, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Illinois federal court.

Global Brands — a subsidiary of Kraft Foods Inc. global successor Mondelez International Inc., not the recently spunoff Kraft Foods Group Inc. — says Kellogg's Keebler Sandies are packaged in a resealable container that ripped off its patented "Snack 'n Seal" technology.
