Playboy Web Controls Let Kids Access Porn: UK Watchdog

Law360, New York (January 16, 2013, 5:12 PM EST) -- The U.K.’s media watchdog fined Playboy Enterprises Inc. £100,000 ($160,000) for allegedly failing to protect children from potentially harmful pornographic material on the Internet.

According to the Office of Communication, or Ofcom, two websites owned by Playboy — Playboy TV and Demand Adult — allowed users to access “hardcore” videos and images without having acceptable controls in place to check that users were aged 18 or over.
