NJ Panel Passes Transportation Infrastructure Measure

Law360, New York (January 17, 2013, 2:24 PM ET) -- A New Jersey Assembly panel passed legislation Thursday that would establish a state transportation infrastructure bank to leverage public and private investments to finance capital projects supporting the long-term overhaul of New Jersey's transportation network.

The measure, Bill A-3177, would establish a special nonlapsing revolving fund within the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust to be known as the State Transportation Infrastructure Bank program. The goal is to couple private investments with state and federal funds to infuse capital into much-needed infrastructure projects, the bill's sponsors said....
