UK Soccer Team Buys Out BSkyB Stake In Broadcast Venture

Law360, New York (January 22, 2013, 2:26 PM EST) -- Premier League soccer club Manchester United regained full ownership of its branded TV channel and its distribution, lifting a minority stake from British Sky Broadcasting Group PLC, the team said Tuesday.

The parties did not disclose the deal's financial terms or say when they completed it. In inking the deal, Manchester United rounds out a buyback plan to reclaim its broadcasting network that traces back a half-decade.
